Balancing the Lower Face with Neuromodulators Module facial illustration

Balancing the Lower Face with Neuromodulators Module

Duration: 123 mins

Treating the lower face with neuromodulators has been voted by the global injector community to be the most challenging facial region to treat with neuromodulators. The major reason for this perception is that evidence-based injection points and injection planes remain elusive and because adverse events have been frequently reported. Learn in this, more than 2 hours long module, about the correct 3-dimensional anatomic location of the lower facial muscles and see safe and advanced injection techniques simulated on predissected body donors. Upon completion of this module you will feel more confident and safe to conduct lower facial toxin procedures.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the 3-dimensional anatomy of the lower facial muscles including the muscles of the lips, chin, jawline, and neck as it relates to aesthetic neuromodulator injections.
  • Evaluate the origin and insertion of the depressor anguli oris, depressor labii inferioris, mentalis, orbicularis oris, and platysma muscles.

Included Videos

The Depressor anguli oris (= DAO) and the Depressor labii inferioris (DLI) muscles are located in the perioral region and connect the lower lip to the mandible.
