In this course, we present an advanced dissection of the midface, a crucial area where most of the facial mobility is concentrated. Explore a layered dissection, uncovering subcutaneous fat, the orbicularis oculi muscle, and key fat pads such as the superficial nasolabial fat compartment and the malar fat pad. We also examine important features like the nasolabial sulcus, palpaebromalar groove, and tear trough, providing insights into treatment strategies for these regions. The dissection of the orbicularis oculi muscle reveals the SOOF, orbicularis retaining ligament, zygomaticus major and minor muscles, midfacial SMAS, angular vein, and levator labii superioris alaeque nasi (LLSAN) muscle. Understanding these structures of the midface in detail will enhance your confidence and precision in administering treatments addressing the midface and the nasolabial fold. This course is catered towards filler injections.
“In this video I performed an unusual dissection approach (unusual at that time) which is now my standard midfacial dissection approach when I dissect on stage.”
