
Overview
The lateral midface contains a plethora of complex anatomic structures incl. the facial nerve, the parotid gland and the transverse facial artery. In addition, the lateral face has a unique fascial arrangement which allows for force transmission from temples to the jawline. Especially the vascular (arterial and venous) anatomy needs to be thoroughly understood when planning to treat the lateral midface with soft tissue fillers. Although no injection simulations are performed, this video is best suited for briefly freshen up on midfacial anatomy prior to clinical treatments.
