Basic Anatomy for Neuromodulator Treatments: Masseter Muscle

Red background

Overview

The masseter muscle is one of the 4 muscles of mastication: masseter, temporalis, medial pterygoid, lateral pterygoid. In addition, this muscle contributes to the lateral outline of the face and supports a tight jawline contour. The complex anatomy of this muscle and of the surrounding structures need to be respected when neuromodulators are injected. Although no injection simulations are performed, this video is best suited for briefly freshen up on nose anatomy prior to clinical treatments.

Treatment type: Relevant for Neuromodulator Injections
