Overview
The treatment of the nasolabial fold with soft tissue fillers has been historically performed via a superficial injection approach. Since the occurrence of severe adverse events a novel deep injection technique with a cannula has emerged. This technique is challenging but has a better safety profile compared to other techniques. In this video a comprehensive anatomic overview of the vascular anatomy of the pyriform fossa is provided along with an injection simulation of this difficult technique to guide toward safer treatment outcomes.
