Neuromodulator Treatments: Chin Zone Relaxation

Neuromodulator Treatments: Chin Zone Relaxation

Red background

Overview

The mentalis muscle is the predominant muscle of the chin zone. Its contractile status determines the depth of the labiomental sulcus, the position of the lower lip, and the overall shape of the lower facial contour. Various techniques exist to target this muscle with neuromodulators of which the deep and the superficial techniques are the most prominent ones. In this video, both techniques are demonstrated and the clinical correlates explained.
