Overview
The columella divides the left and the right nasal cavity along with the mucosa covered nasal septum. In view from lateral, the columella should be in direct alignment with the lower margins of the nasal alae. Following surgical rhinoplasty procedures, the nasal ala can retract cranially and expose the columella in view from lateral; this is referred to as columellar-show. In this video, the correction of columellar-show is discussed by the use of soft tissue filler injections which is sometimes also needed to address the aesthetic needs of non-surgical liquid rhinoplasty patients.
