
Overview
The nasal skeleton is composed of bones in the upper part and of cartilages in the lower part of the nose. During breathing, negative pressure inside the nasal cavity can promote the collapse of the lateral nasal wall which in return leads to a reduce airflow toward the nasopharynx and in patient discomfort. A specialized soft tissue filler-based injection technique can be performed to stabilize the lateral nasal wall to prevent its collapse. In this video, this technique is demonstrated, and the vascular dangers explained.
