Overview

The chin zone is composed of multiple facial muscles which include the mentalis, the depressor labii inferioris, the depressor anguli oris, and the orbicularis oris muscles. These muscles display muscular connections with each other and form a muscular plate deep to the fibrofatty tissue layer within the mental region. It is therefore understandable that if a neuromodulator injection is not precise enough, adverse events can be observed.
