Prof. Cotofana discovered a new artery of the ear

Together with his friend and colleague Prof. Isaac Zilinsky, Prof. Cotofana identified in 2015 an artery that travelled along the helical rim of the auricle. They called it the helical rim arcade or the Zilinsky-Cotofana arcade. This artery formed the basis for a novel reconstructive surgery procedure termed: ELBAF.

Prof. Cotofana discovered the Line of Convergence also called the C-Line

Using 3D skin vector displacement analyses, Prof. Cotofana and his team discovered that the skin of the forehead moved in an interesting way: eyebrows move upwards whereas the hairline moves downwards. The region of the forehead where both movements converged was called the Line of Convergence.
